Before we left the blue mountains we enjoyed the view at Govetts Leap (no crowds!)

Because I can’t walk far today we took the scenic Bells Line of Road loop and visited the Blue Mountains Botanic Garden.

At 1000m above sea level it was cold and windy but clearer air as the sand wind storm which is grounding flights in Sydney is on its way out.
They have a fabulous collection of proteas – all blooming magnificently,

and we found out what those amazing blue flower spikes are that we saw in Adelaide

They are Blue Puya from Central & South America! I saw a female satin bower bird on one – she’s the one whose mate collects blue things to put in his bower.

I am wearing pretty much every warm thing I have here!

The sun came out and we enjoyed the views

Then we drove to Sydney over the fabulous bridge

We were delighted to meet up with Catherine and David

And the full moon shone for us over the beautiful opera house.

Very beautiful flowers this is really a great experience of life.
