where they have a 1930s lifeboat and a memorial to the 8 crew of the lifeboat who were lost in mountainous seas in 1969.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium_large\" title=\"6\/1\/19\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.holloway.me.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/BIRU-WP-20190601T154752GMT0100-768x576.jpg\" alt=\"6\/1\/19\" width=\"768\" height=\"576\" data-json=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We finished our visit at the 19th century battery and Martello tower &#8211;
