{"id":413,"date":"2018-10-13T11:31:00","date_gmt":"2018-10-13T10:31:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.holloway.me.uk\/?p=413"},"modified":"2019-04-27T14:35:13","modified_gmt":"2019-04-27T13:35:13","slug":"the-beginning-of-life-on-earth","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.holloway.me.uk\/index.php\/2018\/10\/13\/the-beginning-of-life-on-earth\/","title":{"rendered":"The beginning of life on earth"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large\" title=\"10\/12\/18\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.holloway.me.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/BIRU-WP-20181012T154958GMT0800-1536x555.jpg\" alt=\"10\/12\/18\" width=\"1536\" height=\"555\" data-json=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The sea here is shallow enough give us second thoughts about swimming this morning &#8211; although warmer at Kalbarri than Jurien Bay it was on the chilly side and the stiff wind was off-putting.\u00a0 After an enjoyable paddle we noticed the jellyfish on the beach so maybe not swimming was a good choice.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>There are lots of enormous pelicans here.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large\" title=\"10\/12\/18\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.holloway.me.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/BIRU-WP-20181012T133129GMT0800-1536x837.jpg\" alt=\"10\/12\/18\" width=\"1536\" height=\"837\" data-json=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We rented a motorboat and pootled up the Murchison river &#8211; very serene although our engine was loud. We saw 2 eagles &#8211; a fish eagle and another \u2018wedgie\u2019. amazing there are any left with so many huge pelicans- they can eat 1.2kg a day &amp; I wonder how they get off the ground.<\/p>\n<p>All packed it was back on the road to Monkey Mia under sunny Australian skies &#8211;
