It\u2019s about a 700m climb.<\/p>\n<p>The trees were lush, the vines twisted and the trees perfectly placed as hand holds along the well tramped path. This is definitely Tarzan country. This is the path<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large\" title=\"10\/29\/18\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.holloway.me.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/BIRU-WP-20181029T074317GMT1000-1152x1536.jpg\" alt=\"10\/29\/18\" width=\"1152\" height=\"1536\" data-json=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large\" title=\"10\/29\/18\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.holloway.me.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/BIRU-WP-20181029T080321GMT1000-1152x1536.jpg\" alt=\"10\/29\/18\" width=\"1152\" height=\"1536\" data-json=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We had the mountain to ourselves and only met a couple of French lads coming down and one climber going up when we were descending. Lots of bird song but only one brush turkey &#8211; no tree kangaroos &#8211; not that we had much energy to look around!<\/p>\n<p>At the top we had a view out both sides but we pressed on along a ridge that was a dramatic steep top but covered in trees so you can\u2019t really see it on the photos.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large\" title=\"QLD \/ Australia - 10\/29\/18\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.holloway.me.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/BIRU-WP-20181029T093120GMT1000-1536x1152.jpg\" alt=\"QLD \/ Australia - 10\/29\/18\" width=\"1536\" height=\"1152\" data-json=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This came out at a big rock where we could see far out to the South and see the ordered trees of our fruit farm below among the jungle of the rainforest.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large\" title=\"QLD \/ Australia - 10\/29\/18\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.holloway.me.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/BIRU-WP-20181029T095107GMT1000-1536x1152.jpg\" alt=\"QLD \/ Australia - 10\/29\/18\" width=\"1536\" height=\"1152\" data-json=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large\" title=\"10\/29\/18\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.holloway.me.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/BIRU-WP-20181029T092803GMT1000-1536x1152.jpg\" alt=\"10\/29\/18\" width=\"1536\" height=\"1152\" data-json=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>David wrung out his neck cloth (nice) and we headed back down.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large\" title=\"10\/29\/18\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.holloway.me.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/BIRU-WP-20181029T092732GMT1000-1536x1152.jpg\" alt=\"10\/29\/18\" width=\"1536\" height=\"1152\" data-json=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>There were beautiful blue Triangle butterlies doing a dance for us<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large\" title=\"10\/29\/18\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.holloway.me.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/BIRU-WP-20181029T100930GMT1000-1536x1152.jpg\" alt=\"10\/29\/18\" width=\"1536\" height=\"1152\" data-json=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large\" title=\"10\/29\/18\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.holloway.me.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/BIRU-WP-20181029T100926GMT1000-1-1536x831.jpg\" alt=\"10\/29\/18\" width=\"1536\" height=\"831\" data-json=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full\" title=\"QLD \/ Australia - 10\/29\/18\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.holloway.me.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/BIRU-WP-20181029T094921GMT1000.jpg\" alt=\"QLD \/ Australia - 10\/29\/18\" width=\"1536\" height=\"412\" data-json=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Then we headed back down &#8211; one steep section has rope to help you<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large\" title=\"QLD \/ Australia - 10\/29\/18\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.holloway.me.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/BIRU-WP-20181029T110013GMT1000-1536x1152.jpg\" alt=\"QLD \/ Australia - 10\/29\/18\" width=\"1536\" height=\"1152\" data-json=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Although only 7km it took us 5 and a half hours and my feet we quite sore and I was a bit tired!<\/p>\n<p>So we had lunch back at our little cabin and went to Emmagen creek where there\u2019s a safe swimming hole (no crocs) &#8211;
